Debjit Mukherjee, Kolkata: ED recovered ₹ 20 crore in cash from West Bengal industries and commerce minister Partha Chatterjee’s associate Arpita Mukherjee’s house in connection with the alleged SSC scam in West Bengal. More than 20 mobile phones have also been recovered as well.
The ED today conducted raids on Partha Chatterjee, Minister of State for Education Paresh C Adhikari, MLA Manik Bhattacharya and others.
The TMC described the raids as a “ploy” by the BJP government at the Centre to “harass” its political opponents.
