Debjit Mukherjee, Kolkata: Union Minister of State and Bongaon BJP MP Shantanu Thakur’s convoy met with an accident. The accident took place on Jessore Road near Maniktala under Ashoknagar police station after Saturday afternoon. A truck rammed into a car behind the Union Minister of State’s convoy. No casualties were reported in the accident. However, Shantanu Thakur alleged that the truck was chasing his convoy. However, no complaint has been filed till this evening, the police said.
He complained “The truck from Guma was chasing my convoy. I have asked the police to investigate why the truck was chasing and what was the driver’s intention.” Later, however, he reached Bongaon safely.
