News Desk: Keshpur Krishak Oikya Mancha handed over a deputation to Keshpur ADO of Paschim Midnapur district on Tuesday demanding waiver of agricultural loans. In the financial year 2021-22, there was a huge loss of potato cultivation due to natural calamities.
Farmers claim that they have paid insurance but have not yet received any compensation. However, farmers of several gram panchayats in Keshpur block have already received compensation. The farmers said that today’s deputation is for quick compensation. On Tuesday, they processioned from the Keshpur College more to the bus stand, demonstrated in front of the ADO office and submitted a Deputation to the ADO. It is learned that the farmers of 4, 7, 12, 13 and 15 gram panchayats of Keshpur block participated in the procession. The farmers warned to start a larger movement if they do not pay compensation as soon as possible.
