News Desk: A young Trinamool activist named Tapas Das has been admitted to Medinipur Medical College after getting injured in an attack that was launched on him on Monday evening in Mahishda village of Keshpur, the ancestral home of Ghatal actor-MP Deepak Adhikari alias Dev. Lying in the hospital bed, Tapas said “4-5 miscreants who used to be CPM, now do BJP, have suddenly attacked me”
Locals said that the BJP has an education camp that day. As per Trinamool Keshpur region president Ezahar Ali, Tapas was beaten up by BJP miscreants after that camp. Keshpur BJP leader Tanmoy Ghosh complained that Trinamool activists gather in different places under the influence of alcohol to disrupt the education camp by bombing and Tapas could be beaten by someone from his own party.
According to the police, the allegations of both the parties are being investigated. The situation is now under control.
