Debjit Mukherjee, Kolkata: Uproar in Bengal over the BJP organizing Ganga Aarti at Babughat in Kolkata. BJP leader Sajal Ghosh, who had come to see the preparations for the program, was detained by the police from the Babughat area. Earlier, the police got the stage set up by the BJP at Babughat opened and separated. However, even in these circumstances, the BJP is adamant about the evening program. It has been told by the BJP that a program of Ganga Aarti will be organized under the leadership of State President Sukant Majumdar at 5.30 pm. As a result, there is a possibility of the Mamata government’s further tussle with the BJP regarding Ganga Aarti. On the other hand, it has been said by the Kolkata Police that Ganga Aarti and cultural programs will not be allowed. So far everything is fine. No BJP person will be allowed to enter here. Earlier on Tuesday, the Ganga Puja program was announced by the state BJP, but the Kolkata Police has not given the necessary permission for it. It was told by the police that the Babughat area is crowded for the Gangasagar fair. Traffic in the city may be affected due to BJP’s program. Along with this, it was said that the program of the G20 conference is going on in Kolkata from 9 to 11 January. A large part of the police will be there. Therefore, it is not possible to get permission for BJP’s program on this day, but even after this, BJP had announced to perform Ganga Aarti. BJP State President Sukant Majumdar said that he himself would attend the Ganga Aarti.
