Blood donation camp in support of thalassemia patients at Mugbasan

News Desk: In order to alleviate the blood crisis in the blood banks in Corona situation and to stand by the children suffering from thalassemia, the voluntary organization Mugbasan Target Welfare Society working on education, culture, sports, social service and environmental awareness in Mugbasan, Keshpur came forward. A total of 36 blood donors donated blood. To give the message of greening on behalf of the entrepreneurs, one betel tree sapling was given to each blood donor as a memento.

Anjani Kumar Tiwari, Officer-in-Charge of Keshpur Police Station, Uttamananda Tripathi, Distinguished Social Worker, Anand Mohan Dalbera, Member of West Midnapore District Zilla Porisod and researcher Shantunu Panda, social worker Hasanur Zaman, Headmaster Deepak Roy, Mugbasan gram panchayat Head Sheikh Sajen Ali, social worker Soumen Pal, Shamim Hasan and others were present at that camp.

Popular teacher Snehashis Choudhury conducted the program. The inaugural ceremony was presided over by the president of the organization Abdul Sophie. Sheikh Monirul Alam, Secretary of the Society, thanked all concerned for the smooth implementation of the program. Sk Muhammad Imran, the treasurer of the society, gave a welcome speech on behalf of the society at the beginning of the camp.

Society members Sk Mainul Islam, Miraj Ali, Sk Mosaober Ali, Sahangir Chowdhury Shyamsunder Poriya, Sk Ashfaq, Sk Liltu Babu, Sheikh Ashraful, Bablu Akhter, Rajesh Ali and others played an important role in making the camp a success. Gopiballavpur Blood Bank authorities of Jhargram district collected blood in the camp and Keshpur Voluntary Blood Donors Forum assisted. Tanushree Sau, a student of Keshpur College, donated blood as the youngest blood donor in the camp.
