Hard earned six wicket victory for team India in the 2nd T20 against New Zealand

Debjit Mukherjee: Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya kept their cool to guide India to a hard-fought win over New Zealand in the second T20I encounter in Lucknow.

 

Chasing 100, India were unable to accelerate and it took another gritty known from Suryakumar to get them over the line. Arshdeep Singh scalped two wickets as India restricted New Zealand at 99/8 in the second T20I match on Sunday at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

 

Opting to bat first, the visitors kept on losing the wickets at regular intervals and could manage only 99 runs in 20 overs. Apart from Arshdeep, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Deep Hooda, and Washington Sundar scalped one wicket each. For New Zealand, Mitchell Santner remained unbeaten at 19 off 23 balls.
