The deadline for submitting objections is August 29. Seat-wise reservation for each Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti and Zilla Parishad will be finalized on September 2.

Piali Kuila, the officer in charge of the Keshpur Block Social Welfare Department and Swapan Pandit, the secretary of the Mugbasan Gram Panchayat, were present as trainers on this day. Incidentally, the Panchayat and Village Development Department has stated in the government guidelines sent to each District Magistrate that every polling station or booth in the state is the election center of the Gram Panchayat. The government does not have any information about the residence of the backward class or scheduled caste and tribe people in those centres. Therefore, the state is looking to collect this information by conducting surveys led by BDOs in each district.
