Debjit Mukherjee: The Supreme court on Tuesday granted interim protection to suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma in connection with multiple FIRs filed against her in several states over controversial remarks on the Prophet Hazrat Mohammad.
SC said “No coercive action will be taken against her until the next hearing”. The next hearing will be on August 10. Notices have been issued to Delhi, West Bengal and Maharashtra and response have been sought as well.
