Debjit Mukherjee, Siliguri: The GTA election 2022 results are out today. Anit Thapa’s Bharatiya Gorkha Prajatantrik Morcha (BGPM) has won 26 seats of the 45 seats. The ruling party TMC has won five seats while the Independents and the newly-formed Hamro party have won seven seats each.
By-elections were also out today in which the TMC has won four, whereas the Congress and the CPI(M) have bagged one each.
