News Desk: Minority organisations took action after video of Muslim students not allowed to enter the premises of University of Mangalore for wearing hijab went viral.

It is learned that following the government rules, the University of Mangalore issued instruction of no wearing of hijab in university premises. Some Muslim girls were not allowed to enter the college for wearing hijab. There are allegations that Muslim girls are being deprived of their right to education under the guise of dress code. However, Chief Minister Basavraj Bommai has made it clear that students should focus on their studies and not get involved in debates.
