News Desk: Leftist students took to the streets to protest against the proposal to turn Shaheed Pradyot Smriti Sadan into a cinema hall, demanding transparency in all recruitment including SSC. -Youth and teacher organizations. A procession was organized in Medinipur town on Friday afternoon on the joint initiative of West Midnapore District Committee of SFI, DYFI, ABTA and ABTPA.
The procession started from the ABPTA district office in Bridgetown and ended at the gate of Pradot Smriti Sadan at Gandhi intersection. The procession participants joined the sit-in protest against the proposal to turn Pradyot Smriti Sadan into a cinema hall and took part in a mass signature collection program. The day’s procession was led by teacher leadership Bipadtaran Ghosh, Dhrupashekhar Mandal, student leadership Prosenjit Mudi, youth leadership Sumit Adhikari, Shubhdeep Sau and others.
