Debjit Mukherjee: Addressing the country from the ramparts of the Red Fort on 76th Independence Day, PM Modi said nepotism is leading to corruption in many cases.
“Corruption is damaging country like termite. The country will have to fight it… We have to weed out corruption. India needs to be alert against the corrupt as well as corruption”.
“We need to come together as a society to punish those who have propagated evil of corruption. We are making efforts to seize properties of people who have fled the country. I request you all to help me fight corruption. It is our endeavour that those who have looted the country will have to pay” he added.
He also slammed the opposition over dynastic politics.
