Debjit Mukherjee: RJD leader Chandrasekhar called the Prophet of Islam ‘Maryada Purushottam’. He said, “When immorality was increasing worldwide, people’s faith was declining, when evil forces were reigning, God sent Muhammad to Central Asia. Muhammad appeared to fight injustice and suppress evil. He is Maryada Purushottam.” This comment was strongly condemned by BJP. They claim that he made such comments to please Muslims.
