Debjit Mukherjee, Kolkata: In the latest developments to the Mominpur Violence, the Calcutta High Court has sought a response from the West Bengal government. ‘Was there a compliance of NIA?,’ HC asked.
Several people were injured and many were detained in connection with sporadic clashes that broke out between two communities in the Khidderpore-Mominpur area of Kolkata on the evening of October 10.
According to police, clashes broke out between the two groups over some local issues. During the violence, people pelted stones and vandalized vehicles while a large crowd surrounded the Ekbalpur Police Station.
