News Desk: A case has been filed under the National Security Act against five main accused – Ansar, Salim, Imam Sheikh, Dilsad and Ahir – in the Jahangirpuri violence. So far, police arrested a total of 25 people. The BJP has asked the NIA to investigate if there’s an involvement of terrorist.
The main accused Mohammad Ansar has already been arrested by the Delhi Police. Tensions escalated between BJP and AAP over Ansar’s political identity. BJP MP Manoj Tiwari claimed that Ansar is an AAP activist. The AAP leadership in written claimed that Ansar is a BJP member. Five years ago, he was seen campaigning for BJP candidate Sangeeta Bajaj from Ward No. 21 of North Delhi Municipality. Ansar has been identified as the ‘mastermind’ of the incident.
