News Desk: Majority of BJP leaders in the new Haj committee and for the first time, two women got a place in the committee – Mafuza Khatun (vice chairperson) of Murshidabad and Munnaori Begum, a BJP leader from Tamil Nadu.
According to Mafuza Khatun “All preparations are almost finalized. In the coming days, we will look into ways to facilitate the Haj pilgrims through a simpler process. On the other hand, efforts will be made to open Haj centers in the Muslim-majority districts of the state”.
According to a source in the central government, the members of the committee have been selected on the basis of certain issues.
