According to sources, states have not yet come up with a ‘rule’ on the reform. If that process is completed properly, the daily working hours of the employees may change from July 1. It is also learned that as a result of that change, there is a possibility of reduction in employees ‘take home salary’. But the PF grant is likely to increase.
Under the new rules, the minimum wage will be implemented across the country. According to the new labor rules, employees may have to work for 9-12 hours (previously it was 8-9 hours). Those who work 12 hours a day will get three days off a week. A 30-minute break can be taken after every five hours of continuous work. Employees working in organised and unorganised sectors of the country will come under Employees State Insurance. Under the new rules, women will be able to do night shifts.
