News Desk: SSC meritlisted deprived candidates celebrate 73rd Republic Day at the feet of Gandhi statue. In protest of corruption in the West bengal school service commission ; the movement is going on to demand the recruitment of qualified; meritlisted job seekers.
The ninth- twelfth level deprived teacher candidates in the merit list of 1st sLst organized by West bengal school service commission have been subjected to extreme corruption and deprivation in school recruitment.
They complain that; school service commission did not publish the number based merit list;they did not appoint in the ratio 1:1.4 according to the gazette an unqualified candidate like Ankita Adhikary, daughter of honourable minister, has been appointed at the top of the merit list. They made illegal appointments in SMS during Lockdown. They have illegally recruited the 5 member; representative of the 2019 hunger strike ; including their relatives. They have recruited many candidates from the back row in the merit list by jumping ranks. They have appointed many candidates in fair seats; who did not pass the examination.
In protest of these deprivations meritlisted deprived candidates have been carrying out long term movement and hunger strike.
At first they went on a 29 days hunger strike in front of the press club in 2019 ; to protest the corruption of the school service commission. The honourable chief minister assured to ensure the job of all the meritlisted candidates.
Due to non implementation of the chief minister’s promise ; they hold 187 days long protest near salt lake central park gate no-5. result from respected education minister and the ssc chairman told them they will appoint soon.
Due to non-implementation of any promise ; they have been holding dharna and hunger strike at the feet of the historical Gandhi statue again from 8.10.2021
Agitator Md. Rakib Hossain ; Sukhen Sarkar;Palash Mondal;Khurshid Alam;Ranjit Mondal;Payel De;Papia Nandi;Koyel Dey;Md. Mahidul Islam; Khairul Anam have informed that their movement is totally apolitical.They crave the people of educated society to be by their side to get rid of this misery of life and to establish their legal rights.
