Sri Lanka will be given a financial assistance of 70 crore US dollar by World Bank

News Desk: The World Bank is going to extend a helping hand. Financial crisis-ridden Sri Lanka will be given a financial assistance of 70 crore US dollar.

World Bank Country Manager Chiyo Kanda met with Sri Lankan Foreign Minister GL Peiris last week. “The World Bank, along with the Asian Development Bank, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the United Nations, will stand by Sri Lanka. A financial assistance of 70 crore US dollar will be provided to Sri Lanka” she said in a press conference.
