Debjit Mukherjee, Kolkata: Trinamool Chhatra Parishad in conflict with the Presidency University authorities regarding Saraswati puja. A few days ago, the University’s Trinamool Chhatra Parishad organization PUTMCP had written to the authorities seeking permission to perform Saraswati Puja at the campus. Recently they were informed through e-mail that the authorities are not able to give permission for Saraswati Puja inside the campus.
Trinamool Chhatra Parishad claims that the authorities are not allowing the puja to help the left-wing student organization and for political purposes. Authorities, however, said Presidency University believed in DeRozian’s ideology. So no such activity is possible here.
Members of Trinamool Chhatra Parishad of Presidency University are on the way to protest. Trinamool Chhatra Parishad Unit Secretary Aritra claims that they will worship in the morning of January 26 in the campus.
