West Bengal civic polls: Violence in Asansol after attack on BJP candidate and firing at Jamuria

News Desk: Political violence reported in Asansol during civic polls. On one hand, a BJP candidate’s head got cracked after alleged attack by TMC backed miscreants and on the other hand, firing took place at Jamuria.

The BJP alleged that it’s candidate Adarsh Sharma of Ward No. 15 was attacked and beaten up by TMC backed miscreants. However, the TMC denied such allegations.

On the other hand, shots were fired at the booth of Sreepur High School in Jamuria, Ward No. 12. CPM candidate alleged TMC backed miscreants opened fire. This incident terrorised voters.
