Lakhimpur Farmer Murder: SC rejected bail of Ashish Mishra

News Desk: Ashish Mishra, son of union minister Ajay Mishra, will have to go to jail again in connection with the Lakhimpur farmer murder case. His bail was rejected by the Supreme Court.

Ashish was the main accused in the murder of a farmer in Lakhimpur on October 3. He was arrested on October 9. But on February 10, a Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court granted him bail. The families of the three farmers, killed in the incident, appealed to the Supreme Court. On that basis, the Supreme Court rejected Ashish’s bail and ordered a fresh hearing.
