News Desk: The Income Tax Department on Friday confiscated several properties, including nine acres of agricultural land belonging to Mehul Choksi, the main accused of the PNB scam.
In 2018, Mehul and his nephew Nirav Modi were accused of taking a loan of around Rs 10,000 crore by showing a fake ‘Letter of Undertaking’ of Punjab National Bank. He left the country in the meantime. But he was detained in Dominica last year. After that, the center also took initiative to bring Choksi back to the country.
