Russia-Ukraine War: Despite objections, Russia and Japan have signed an agreement on salmon and trout fishing

News Desk: Despite objections, Russia and Japan have signed an agreement on salmon and trout fishing.

As a result, Japanese fishermen will be able to catch 2,050 tons of salmon and trout grown in Russia in their own ‘exclusive economic zone’. For this, Japan will pay Russia about 200 million yen in fees.

It is to be noted that Japan has strongly condemned Russia’s attack on Ukraine from the very beginning. Relations between the two countries have soured since imposition of sanctions.
