News Desk: After West Bengal, Gujarat and Jharkhand, this time Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone witnessed communal riots on the occasion of Ram Navami.
Clashes erupted over playing of provocative song near the Talab Chowk mosque.
A mob hurled stones at the mosque and surrounding houses. At least 10 houses were set on fire. Tear gas shells were fired to bring the situation under control. Six policemen, including a police superintendent, were injured in the incident.
As per the last news, a total of 77 arrests have been made and a curfew has been declared.
