Debjit Mukherjee, Siliguri: The BJP is now directly at the door of the CPM with the proposal to topple the TMC government in the state in December. While the entire state celebrated Kalipuja on Monday, BJP MP from Darjeeling Raju Bista and BJP MLA from Siliguri Shankar Ghosh appeared at the house of former minister and CPM leader and former city mayor Ashok Bhattacharya in Siliguri. And around this meeting, a new stir has been created in the political circles. According to sources, their direct proposal to Ashok Bhattacharya was toppling the Mamata Banerjee government.
The TMC has already expressed fears of a plot by the Center to topple the Bengal government in December and make a part of the state a union territory. The TMC has already raised the allegation that the CPM has joined the BJP in its conspiracy. The TMC leadership slammed the whole incident. The state leadership is going to hit the streets regarding this.
Darjeeling MP Raju Bist said, “BJP has prepared all the blueprints to topple Mamata Banerjee’s government in December. After hearing this, Ashok wants to know the details.” However, Shankar Ghosh claims, “It’s just a courtesy meet. TMC is spreading lies.” Meanwhile, the former mayor of Siliguri claimed, “I don’t do such politics. They came to congratulate Vijaya.”
