Former Chief Minister of Kashmir Farooq Abdullah breaks silence on ‘The Kashmir Files’

News Desk: Former Chief Minister of Kashmir Farooq Abdullah breaks silence on ‘The Kashmir Files’. He said that if he is found guilty of the plight of Kashmiri scholars, he should be hanged.

He said “The real truth will be known only when an honest judicial committee is appointed. Only then will everyone know who is responsible. If Farooq Abdullah is found guilty, he should be hanged in any part of the country. I agree to face that trial. But stop blaming those who are not guilty”.

“I don’t think I am guilty. If people want to know the bitter truth, they should talk to the then head of the intelligence bureau. Or they can talk to Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed, who was the Union Minister at the time” he added.

He also called the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ a ‘propaganda film’. Farooq claimed that not only Kashmiri scholars but also the Sikhs and Muslims of Kashmir had to suffer at that time. Talking about the situation at that time, Farooq said “My legislators, junior staff, ministers all had to rescue their flesh from the tree. That was the situation”.
