News Desk: “From now on, Bhagwat Gita will be taught as part of Gujarat’s sixth to twelfth grade syllabus” Gujarat Education Minister Jitu Vaghani has tabled a draft proposal in the Assembly on Thursday.
According to the draft, different parts of the Gita will be taught in the form of poems, verses or stories in the syllabus from sixth grade to eighth grade. The Gita will be taught in more detail after the eighth grade.
Education Minister Jitu Vaghani says “The teachings, ideology and importance of the Bhagwat Gita have been accepted by all, irrespective of race or religion. And it will be taught in the syllabus in such a way so that it creates interest among the students as well”.
