Debjit Mukherjee, Medinipur: Hijab controversy in Bengal now. The incident took place at Mugbasan Haqqania High School in Keshpur, West Midnapore.
It is known that on Thursday, a teacher of the school made a controversial comment about hijab to some eleventh class students. As soon as the school opened on Friday, students and parents gathered in front of the school and started protesting and demanded suspension of the teacher. The demonstration began. Police tried to calm the situation but failed. At the end, the teacher admitted her mistake in front of everyone. Then the situation calmed down.
