Sk Md Imran, Medinipur: On the occasion of the birthday of Mr. Rinku Chakraborty, president of Medinipur Quiz Center Social Welfare Society , Blood donation and Hair donation was held at Rani Shiromani Bhavan of Medinipur College. This is the first Hair donation camp for cancer sufferers in Medinipur city. Total of 81 people donated their hair.
Anindita Maiti, a resident of Kanakpur village of Debra Police Station, currently teacher of Vedua Primary School in Amlagora Chakra, Garbeta, donated her hair in this great event. She said, after hearing about this festival from my husband, I decided to participate in this great initiative. My mother-in-law is terminally ill with cancer. I heard from her about the terrible situation after chemotherapy. When the hair on my head grows up while fighting the battle of life, I am more mentally broken. If this small donation brings a smile to someone’s face, I will be happy. I request all girls to come forward and stand by the society in this way. This is how women’s power wins.
