News Desk: Israeli foreign minister Yair Lapid slammed Russia’s foreign minister Sergey Lavrov over his controversial remarks on the Jewish community.
In an interview, Lavrov said “Even if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is Jewish, his Nazi affiliation cannot be ruled out. Hitler was also half Jewish. Zelenskyy and Hitler have Jewish blood in their bodies”.
Strongly opposing the remarks, Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid said “The remarks of the Russian Foreign Minister are highly offensive and unforgivable. At the same time, the remarks are historically incorrect. Hitler killed about sixty lakh Jews during World War II. The Jews did not kill themselves. The worst kind of racism is where the Jews are being blamed for killing their own people” he said.
