Sri Lanka in extreme economic crisis! Protesters clashed with police outside the president’s residence

News Desk: Sri Lanka in extreme economic crisis. Five thousand people gathered in front of the President’s residence on the streets of Colombo on Thursday evening to protest and they clashed with the police.

It is learned that several policemen including ASPO were injured. They were taken to hospital. Curfew has been imposed to bring the situation under control.

Protesters demanded resignation of president Gotabaya Rajapaksa. On the other hand, the President claimed that those who are protesters are extremists.

Sri Lanka is facing the biggest financial crisis in the last seven decades. Black out is going on in the country due to lack of electricity. People are not even getting the required cooking gas. In this situation, people have started leaving the country.
