News Desk: New turn at Rampurhat case. On June 10, 2021, a letter written by MLA Ashish Bandyopadhyay to Birbhum District Trinamool President Anubrata Mondal went viral. In the letter, the MLA requested to retain Anarul Hossain as the block TMC president till the panchayat elections. MLA Ashish Bandopadhyay has admitted that he wrote the letter.
District president Anubrata Mondal said “The results of the polls in the area were bad. There were complaints from many villagers. That is why I wanted to remove Anarul. I wanted another block president. But Ashish Bandyopadhyay is an experienced man. So I decided not to remove him”.
Meanwhile, two more people were arrested from Nalhati and Margram for the murder of Bhadu Sheikh – Bhasan Sheikh and Safiq Sheikh. A total of six people were arrested by the police.
