TMC organisational election: CM Mamata Banerjee re-elected as TMC chairperson

News Desk: After a gap of five years, the ruling TMC of West Bengal held its organisational elections today. Chief minister Mamata Banerjee was declared as the chairperson of the party.

TMC Secretary General Partha Chatterjee said Mamata Banerjee was declared elected without a contest as no other leader entered the contest.

He said “A total of 48 proposers and seconders had submitted nominations in favour of Mamata Banerjee. As there was no other nomination for the post of chairperson, Mamata Banerjee has been re-elected unopposed”
