News Desk: Kolkata’s Bowbazar turn battlefield after Ward No. 39 TMC councillor Md Jasimuddin got beaten up by workers of an independent candidate.
According to sources, the TMC councilor’s brother hit a man with his scooter while he was on his way to Zakariya Street. A scuffle started. After getting news of the scuffle, Md Jasimuddin informed Bowbazar police and went to the location with his workers. He alleged that he was beaten up by workers of independent candidate Ayesha Kaniz.
The independent candidate denied such allegations and so far 7 arrests have been made.
