Bengal Panchayat Polls: TMC launched ‘Cholo Gram’ campaign to woo female voters

Debjit Mukherjee, Kolkata: Ahead of the panchayat elections in 2023 in West Bengal, TMC is all set to launch a new campaign which will be led by the Mahila Brigade.

With the new campaign, TMC wants to woo female voters in the run up to the panchayat elections in 2023.

The campaign is named ‘Cholo Gram’ where female leaders and workers of TMC will visit blocks in every gram panchayat in West Bengal. ‘Cholo Gram’ in English means ‘visit the villages.’

The campaign will start from November 1 in Howrah and will wind up by January 12.

As per sources, TMC is looking forward to taking the campaign to every house hold in every gram panchayat. They are also planning to preach the benefits of the schemes which Mamata Banerjee implemented after the 2021 elections like ‘Lokkhir Bandhar.’

The West Bengal panchayat elections are likely to be held in March 2023. In view of the polls, TMC has asked all its leaders to take an extensive on-ground tour.
