News Desk: “Anti-national education is given in madrasas” Karnataka BJP MLA Renukacharya has created stir with his controversial remarks.
“I urge the Hon’ble Chief Minister and the Education Minister to shut down the madrasas. Don’t we have other schools where Hindu and Christian students study? They get anti-national education there. Either they should be banned or the syllabus should be kept like other schools” he said.
“I want to tell the Congress is vote bank so important to you? And I also want to know what is the need of madrasas? What is being taught there? They are persuading the little ones. They will grow up and will become anti-national and they’ll not recite ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai'” he added.
He also criticized those who called for a strike to oppose the Karnataka High Court’s verdict on the hijab issue. “Some anti-national groups have called for a Karnataka bandh. Why is the government tolerating this? Is it Pakistan, Bangladesh or any other Muslim country? We will not tolerate this” he said.
