News Desk: Maharashtra ATS warns Mumbai police of terrorist attack during IPL. Mumbai Police has beefed up security at IPL team hotels and stadiums.

A Maharashtra Police ATS source said “Strict security measures are being taken at Wankhede Stadium, Trident Hotel and the other two stadiums in Mumbai. Security has also been beefed up for cricketers and support staff”.

The steps taken by the Mumbai Police are:

1. Quick Response Team, Bomb Squad, State Reserve Police Force will be deployed from the beginning to the end of IPL.

2. Special attention should be paid to the safety of cricketers as well as the staff associated with the IPL. Before entering the team hotel, the identity cards of all the employees will be checked. The bus driver and other staff will be checked as well.

3. If a cricketer wants to bring his acquaintances to the hotel, he has to inform the team management in advance.

4. Cars cannot be parked from the team hotel to the stadium. Special security measures on the team bus from the hotel to the stadium. An armored-car team will go to the front of the bus.
