Debjit Mukherjee, South 24 Parganas: First arrest in the murder of three people including a TMC Panchayat member in Canning. Canning police arrested Aftabuddin Sheikh from Kultali on Friday night.
The accused was arrested by tracking the mobile tower location. Aftabuddin will be taken to court on Saturday. According to police sources, the arrested Aftabuddin is the grandfather of Bashir Sheikh who is named in the FIR.
