“Mamata has blood on her hands”: Union Minister Smriti Irani

Welcoming the judgment, Union Minister Smriti Irani said “There was a calculated silence by the West Bengal government. If the TMC believes in justice, let it tell the people of Bengal why karyakartas of BJP were killed, stabbed, hanged. The TMC fancies ambitions outside the state. But India is watching the rape, loot and murder that transpired under the TMC leadership. Mamata has blood on her hands”

“Post the political narsanghar that we witnessed as citizens across the nation, today is the day, when we can say that… Bengal now is truly on the path of justice… It is justice for those women who were raped, just because they were BJP workers and BJP supporters. It is justice for those who were murdered since May 2. Close to 51 BJP Karyakartas have been stabbed, bombed, publicly burnt only because they supported the BJP. Her autocracy will never work” she added.
