Debjit Mukherjee: Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair, who was arrested by the Delhi Police on June 27 for allegedly hurting religious sentiments, moved the Supreme Court on Thursday for bail. The matter was mentioned before a vacation bench of Justices Indira Banerjee and JK Maheshwari for urgent listing.
Senior advocate Colin Gonsalves appearing for Zubair told the court that there is a serious threat to his life. SC has agreed to hear his petition on Friday, 8 July.
