“I have lost the Babri Masjid. I do not want another mosque to be lost”: Asaduddin Owaisi on Gyanvapi mosque case

News Desk: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi condemned the court order in connection with the Gyanvapi mosque located next to Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi.

The AIMIM chief said “This is a clear violation of the law. And I hope the All India Muslim Personal Law Board and the mosque committee will approach the Supreme Court this time. I have lost the Babri Masjid. I do not want another mosque to be lost”.

It is to be mentioned that five women had requested to worship at the place of Maa Shringa Gauri in the premises of Gyanvapi Mosque. The area has been open for prayer for the past one year. But those women had a request that they want to pray in front of other deities in the premises of the old temple. The court ordered an inquiry into the matter last April. Members of the mosque committee and their lawyers objected to the video survey that started inside the mosque last Friday. Lawyers for the petitioners said that they are following the court order. The court has ordered to continue the video survey in that case for the time being.
