News Desk: After Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa declared a state of emergency in the country on Saturday, the public was seen looting trucks filled with cooking gas on the streets of Colombo on Sunday.
On this day many people were seen on the street lining up in front of a local shop with gas cylinders. As there was no gas, they blocked the road with empty cylinders. Later, as soon as the truck loaded with cylinders arrived, they looted and took away all the cylinders.
Sri Lanka is going through an extreme financial crisis. It is rumoured that Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa may resign. He even asked his brother to resign.
