Curfew imposed in Sri Lanka, eight deaths reported

News Desk: Sri Lanka on fire with protests. Even, the defense ministry’s order to fire failed to stop the protesters.

Curfew has been imposed. More than 250 people were injured in the clashes in Colombo and other parts of the country. After rumours of Rajapaksa’s and other politicians’ departure spread, protesters set up checkpoints near Bandaranaike International Airport to prevent Rajapaksa and his family from fleeing the country. So far, eight deaths have been reported.
