India is set to reopen its embassy in war-torn Ukraine

News Desk: India is set to reopen its embassy in war-torn Ukraine, the foreign ministry said in a statement on Friday. The staff will continue to work at the Kiev embassy from May 17.

The embassy was temporarily relocated from Kiev to Warsaw, Poland, on March 13, following the outbreak of war in Ukraine. Both Kiev and Moscow helped New Delhi rescue thousands of Indian students. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called on the two countries to stop fighting and return to talks. Analysts say the opening of an Indian embassy in Kiev means that the situation is becoming somewhat normal.
