Russia and Ukraine account for 29 percent of the world’s wheat exports. The world is now dependent on India for wheat in turbulent times. Prices of wheat and wheat products have increased by 15-20 percent in the domestic market. Meanwhile, the price of wheat in the world market has broken a 14-year record due to the effects of the Russia-Ukraine war.
