News Desk: Suman Das, a BJP candidate contesting in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) elections from Ward 92, claimed that Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers threatened his wife with rape and murder in Kolkata on Sunday.
“My wife was on her way home with my daughter when 4-5 men began abusing me near my house. These men are not from the area, but they were displaying TMC banners. When my wife objected, they threatened her with rape after the elections” he said.
He reported the incident to the Lake Police Station in Kolkata. However, Das said that the complaint had not yet been filed as an FIR.
