KMC Election: TMC unveiled its manifesto titled ‘Vision for Kolkata’

News Desk: The TMC unveiled its manifesto for the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) elections on Saturday.

Titled ‘Vision for Kolkata’, the manifesto promises grievance redressal cells personally supervised by TMC supremo and west Bengal Chief Minster Mamata Banerjee in every city ward. Additionally, there will be ladies’ toilets in every ward.

It also assures online access to birth and death certificates for Kolkata residents, a provision that is already in place. Community halls will also be built in every ward, states the manifesto.

“After campaigning in various wards, our candidates can say that Mamata Banerjee will emerge victorious in 144 wards. We will use our experience and move forward” said senior TMC leader Partha Chatterjee.

He added that it was the party’s responsibility to preserve the culture and ethos of West Bengal and that it would work in the interest of the people.

The TMC’s manifesto comes three days after the BJP released its manifesto titled ‘Kolkata Jitbe, Jitbe BJP’ (Kolkata will win, BJP will win) for the KMC elections.
