Debjit Mukherjee: Violence and death continues in Manipur. A police sub-inspector was shot dead by miscreants in Churachandpur district on Wednesday afternoon. Two were injured.
Manipur Superintendent of Police Karthik Malladi said, “Deceased Ongmang Haokip is a sub-inspector of Manipur police. He was working in Chingpei village of Churachandpur district. Haokip was shot dead by unidentified miscreants on Wednesday. He was shot in the head. Two others were also injured in the incident.”
